I have a buddy with a WS6 who would run 13.1 all day long at the track. Drop -in filter, and exhaust were the only mods he had. I think if he could of hooked up better he could have easily been in the high 12s! It was quick, and sounded great, but it handled like a bus. Better then a rustang, but it still showed it's weight in the curves.

He was saying 390hp I am going to take it to the track on friday night and see what it will run. I hope I can get it on a dyno by Jan.

Don't expect to set any land speed records. My best was 13.2 @ 109 back i was stage 2. By best i mean i may have made a half a dozen passes down the track up untill then total since i bought the car, and that was on stock tires. (Eagle F1 GSD3)

I think i could of maybe squeeked out 13 flat if i could launch worth a $hit. But like i have stated many times before. My Z is a garage queen, so i had/have no intentions of spending any real time at teh track dialing anything in. I just go occasionaly to keep the urge down to race on the street.

Expecting about the same hopefully a high 12. The only reason I also go to the track is to keep it off the street. Have spent way to much time in the court room. If I have the urge to go faster I'm going to bring the trans am also.

+1!!

I spent a couple weeks in jail for driving offenses prior to getting the Z. That did the trick for me LOL!!

Like you, I go to the track if i wanna drive like a douche, and i've only got one ticket in the almost 4 years i had her, and that was only because they had recently lowered the speed limit on a road i rarely travel, and got busted for 7 (yes 7) over.

Good luck but you'd probably break some sort of site record if you get into the 12s lol!!

Post your time on this link when you go!! Scroll down and you can see the various times for various setups....

the stillen isn't going to do anything amazing, we all know that, but theres no reason to be a dick cheeze to this guy because he bought a car with a stillen sc on it. I'm sure he got a good deal and if thats what he wanted then good for him. To the OP, this site is filled with a holes and dbags so just expect more **** like this if you're going to stay on this forum. Ever since the price of Z's dropped below 15k my350z has turned into a giant duesche imporium

There are a lot of people on here that are strongly against buying used FI. Some of their reasons are good but I can honestly tell you that I don't regret my decision to go used FI for a second. As stated enjoy a little more reliability on stock block.

numbers are numbers, all that matters is how it runs...the track will tell it all..i def. would get it on a dyno though asap to make sure everything is in check on it, do u have a a/f gauge on it at least to make sure it is running right before u go beat on it at the track?..id say that 390hp is to the crank and i would expect a mid to low 13 with good driving, post it up after like stated

yeah the track is a very good thing ...i have 0 tickets since i started going and it def. cuts down on the street racing

OP....as tylerxfire was saying. Get yourself an A/F gauge and a vacume/boost meter. They can be had for cheaper then you think. I got a narrow band A/F meter, a vacume/boost gauge (Both black automoters) and a two pod pillar off ebay for around $150 total brand new! (Narrow band works just fine, if you are only wanting to see where you are sitting at WOT). I glad i had them, that's how i determined i had the wrong pully, and that i had a boost leak.

I think due to the poor mating surfaces and lack of surface area on the "plenum" that comes with the Stillen kit, there are alot out there that have boost leaks and don't even realize it!! I bring this up because i see what looks like the grey RTV sealing your upper and lower plenum. I suggest you take that apart, scrape it off, and replace with the anerobic sealer that Stillen suggests. (It's hot pink colored and looks like jelly when you apply it) It's the only thing that will hold up to the pressure. I know 7-8 PSI doesn't sound like much. But after time the RTV WILL start to blow out and leak (I know first hand, i though i knew better and i was leaking with in a few months). I'm not saying you have a leak. But there's a pretty good change you will in time, espeically if it's your DD.

Like said before, get her down the track a few times and see where you stand, If mid 13s are the best you get, you probably have something going on under there. If my non trackign *** can get 13.2 on stage two, you should be abe to get at least somewhere close to that with what you have now.

compared to the 06-08, the 03-05 suspension is a little crude. Like someone else mentioned, bilstein pss9/10's are supposedly a dream.

Ironicaly, there are people out there with 04.5 and up Zs that want the 03-04.5 suspension because it is stiffer.

I don't mind the stiffness since it's not my daily driver. But even if it was, it's a sports car, i'd be disappointed if it wasn't stiff!

Just found out cecil county raceway is closed for the season last week was last saturday. I guess it's a good thing gives me time to tune/dyno and setup the car. I'll see what it can do come Feb.
