Default Hi, from Canada!... Tire question.

Hi there, I just picked up a stocker 2004 350Z. I love it!
It needs new tires a while back. Now a question for you all…
I have the stock 225/50/R17 and 235/50/R17 on the rear setup.
Am I crazy to throw a set of 255/50/R17s on the stock rims on the rear… in hope of more traction? Will they fit on stock rims?
Better suggestions? I'm tired of hitting traction control. Haha.
Help

Welcome and congratulations. If you want wider tires get some wider wheels.
