Default Just got my...

yeh, well.

i just got my Z. Pikes Peak White, Touring with a 6sp. i love it. it just broke 1k miles and already i am feeling an increase in power and a decrease in fuel consumption. Everything about this car seems as though it was taylored for me. I just love that feeling. i still love my first car, 97' TT Supra (Quicksilver). Still have it, but my new daily driver is this.

now just asking, does anyone have a shortshifter installed? < if so:

how long did it take you to install it?
are you satified with the craftmenship of it?
how much shorter is the throw?
who makes one?

Also: what does everyone think of this setup:
Borla headers
Stillen SS Exhaust
Injen CAI (black)
Shortshifter (who makes one)

thanks

the NISMO cold air intake is BLACK and it comes with a water bypass valve.

the NISMO GT shifters (one titanium one black) make the **** over an inch shorter. the throw is about the same.

I have seen someone who made a shower throw rod..

the nismo parts are available on our web site.. www.performancenissanparts.com

good luck...

(nice supra!!!!)

Must be nice.

Pimpness daily driving Z.

Land Speed Rocket as a toy.

For cost sakes, sounds like that combo will be effective.

There are a couple others ways you could go, check them out here on the boards. LOTS of good suggestions!

Why would you want to throw your shower rod?

check that out...i know a guy also came out w/ a short shifter like a year ago, but i heard people were having problems w/ it...vibrating or noise or something...

i've read that borla headers don't really have any power gains...i don't beleive CAI's of any brand will ever give much power to this car, but it does sound nice...stillen exhaust supposedly gains the most torque of all the exhausts out there, but the injen/borla ehxaust yeild the most hp from the info i've seen, do a search for sport z magazines "exhaust shootout"...one of the best mods i know of for this car is probably the crawford intake plenum, i've heard nothing but good reveiws...god luck w/ the z, can you post pics of your supra?

ill try to get some pics up. it over-heated two days ago from a faulty fan clutch. thank god it never got into the RED zone of the temp gauge. i should have it back this week with the boost increased. at 18psi i put down 427whp on 19" HREs. this time, im gonna see how long the stock turbos can hold with 22psi. thats the max output for these turbos and when they go, haha, thats when the fun will really begin.

Nice. Put up some pics of both cars. There is a thread somewhere about a new short shifter. A few people have ordered them, but I'm not sure they've gotten them yet.
