Question 2003 New owner with trans problem?

I have a 2003 350Z and the transmission is shot. I have read that this is a common problem in the 2003 models. Can I replace this transmission with a newer year transmission to fix the problem??

Welcome to the site.

If it is a manual transmission.....you need model CD009.

(It took Nissan 9 tries in order to get it right)

Can't go by year.......24 months / 9 tranny revisions = new tranny released to public every 2.67 months.

So just buy the lastest CD009 available?
Is this the newest trans in Z cars or what is it out of?

Mine was under warranty....so the local Nissan dealer took care of it.

Sorry I can't help you beyond that.

there isnt a for sure real way of telling other than climbing under the car and looking at the data plate with the impressions CD009 on it..
