Acura TL > ? < 350z
I wanted a TL with an automatic, but I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to handle the power. Thanks to the OP, now I know better, glad I went with the Z, the TL would be too much for me.
OP..bashing the RSX by sarcastically saying it is fast is VERY common on this site...welcome to the forums.
i can't picture being pulled on by a TL(my ideal car for a DD btw)..anyone speaketh the truth on this matter?

I would definitely say either keep your car or get a manual Z (in the 07-08 model year if possible). Buying an auto 2003 Z is just not going to make you very happy if you're concerned with having a fast car (unless you plan on adding a turbo or S/C and/or some decents mods). As it is now you have a reasonably quick car that can hold more than just two people, I've always liked the TL's.

Thanks for your inputs guys. I have made my decision and am going to go for a manual Z. I am not only looking for looks but speed also. I am sure that the manual Z will be as fast or most likely faster than my current TL.
Haha and to Zephyr the auto Z has the manual mode, but is* NOTHING compared to the actual stick. Its just like my TL, the manual mode in autos just don't cut it.
Yea and I thought you guys were being serious for a second there about the Rsx...
Well I am off to finding better deals on manuals W/O salvage titles. Going to be hard to find but Im sure it's going to be worth it.

And thanks for being unbiased with your opinions and being honest guys.
Good Forum
Since you made a decision, good luck Kurby.
In all seriousness, you'll definitely enjoy a manual 350z. One of my best friends owns the same year ACURA TL as your's and I've driven it on a handful of occassions (mostly as designated driver
). I've also had the oppurtunity to flog one around a closed AutoX-like track as well.
I have to say that model TL it's one of the best FWD cars out there. The smooth reving responsive motor was nice and steering was fluid. However, it doesn't quite match the fun of a shifting a tail-happy, rigid, no-roll, low to the ground two-seater sportscar.
Even if the TL's speed is comparable in a straighline, you'll forget all about it once you've carved any twistys in a Z. The only thing you'll probably miss is the long distance comfort of the TL. The Acura was an extremely easy and practical car to drive.

What are you guys talking about a auto 350z is slow. U do realize that the gear ratio is different than in the manual and auto. Put the same gear ratio in the auto and it will pull the same times. I hope you guys arent' serious.
