Default My New 2004 350z

Hello all, I bought this 2004 Nissan 350z about 3 months ago. I am just now getting around to taking some pics and posting here. I have been reading the forums a bit to learn what I can. One thing I am interested in getting is some wheel spacers. The rims were on the car when I bought it, might eventually change them, but my daughter is starting college soon and she has killed the money tree I had growing in my yard.

Car had 17k miles when I bought it. Has an AEM intake system, Stillen Exhaust, Pioneer unit, JL audio amp/sub and some carbon fiber accents.

So for now I am happy, but would like to get some wheel spacers. I am not sure what size would be best for my situation. Any advice on wheel spacer sizes would be appreciated.

Anyway, here is my Z. Lovin' it so far.

Previous owner or owners drove this car about 1,700 miles/year! Good find.

Thanks davidv, MTB350z and 350ZTheStandard. The pillar gauges were on there when I bought it. If I recall correctly the gauges are Oil temperature, Fuel Pressure and Vacuum.

don't waste money on spacers for those wheels. Get new wheels with better offset.

To accurately suggest a wheel spacer, you need to take off a front and rear wheel and look for a sticker or a stamp that indicates the wheel size AND offset. Anyone else is merely guessing. Tire size would be helpful as well.

Congrats, and welcome!

Thanks scotts300,
The front and rear are 17"x7.5 and the offset is +42mm.
Front tire size is 225/50 17
Rear tire size is 235/50 17

Ok. So those wheels were likely a replacement to the stock 17" wheel combo which were similar in size, offset, and wheel dimensions. Though not really much of an "upgrade" given the sizing, you could certainly run a 25mm spacer at all four corners without issue, maybe even a 30mm spacer. In either case, those spacers will have the studs built in, and will likely run you over $100/pair. That's $200 that you can put towards new wheels if you wanted, and save these for winter, back-ups, performance driving (if you ever choose to do so), or sell them.

If you decide to shop for wheels, there is plenty of information in the wheels/tires forum, as well as in the for sale forum. Think of wheels in the 18-19" range that are 8.5-9.5" wide in the front and 9-10.5" wide in the rear. The "proper" offset will be determined by which wheel width you choose and what kind of "look" you want for your car's wheel set-up.

Good luck.
