hey guys, im new to the z platform as i came from owning 3 evo's from a 04 VIII, to a 06 IX RS, to a 08 Evo X. all had less than $1,800 worth of powertrain mods, and all went 12.1-11.7 in the 1/4 mile @ 112-118mph. the wife made me get rid of my last one (X) due to me getting pulled over 6 times where i live. (never getting a ticket though) it sucked to be driving and being paranoid everywhere i went. so we traded the evo in for a '10 toyota venza for her, and since i can't drive anything but a sporty car, a 350Z for me (we'll see how the cops like this one). I like the car, but don't love it, yet. it definitely needs boost, as N/A is just not gonna cut it for me. and a suspension set up for sure. definitely gonna miss AWD for my road course outings, but i like the "feel" of the rear drive better. its just not as fast. but hopefully i can make the car into something i love getting behind the wheel of everyday like my evo's. sorry, not bashing, but just a little regret.

And it may not be as fast yet, but it's a hell of a lot sexier than any evo.

 

you can get those same trap speeds on a stock block but you wont get anything close to those quarter mile times without at least $15k

actually, theres a lot more Z's here. and its not so garish looking, no wings, fender flares, and what not.

 

**** I think the evos look more like a kids car. More racer. Where I live most people with Z's are 50+
