Default Thinking about a NISMO

Okay so I found a good deal on an 08 350z NISMO with 37000 miles on it. Its black with the black and red inter. Just have a few questions. I have read alot about these cars. I drove it and fell in love with it. So back to the questions. Do you use your for a daily driver? (i will be) Any thing to look for when buying it? Reliability? Maintenance costs? I know that the tires will be a little costly. Any help that you can give a potential Z car owner would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Regardless though, I wouldn't get one as a daily since potential repairs and dings on nismo crap (bumpers, spoiler) would be hella higher than on stock parts. Not to mention lack of abundant availability.

If you can afford it and the expensive tires do it. I have one as my DD I got it for 24k with 14k miles.

I daily my nismo, yes the tires aren't cheap, but that's just the cost of playing the game. What kinda deal are you getting on it?

You can find cheaper tires that are suitable for daily commuting but those would disappoint when looking to get the best performance out of the car.

There is nothing "different" about these that would make them any less reliable than your average, run of the mill 350Z. My friend daily drives his and hasn't had any issues. The 350Z is like any other car; if you take care of the car, it'll take care of you. Abuse/neglect the car, and you're gonna pay for it at some point.

In short: WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!?!?

Nismo Crap Bumpers? Really? They are made of the same material as factory bumpers. They are not some POS fiberglass aftermarket body kit. Just letting you know.

Hes somewhat right. If you lose a bumper, be ready to pay out the ***.

As for use as a DD, i drove a Z as a DD for 5 years. Its not bad, just uncomfortable for long trip (>1.5 hours) and eats tires if you don't have your alignment done. Expect about 15-20k miles per set of tires in the rear, and 30k for fronts if you DD.

When you buy the car, swap out all the fluids (brakes and clutch are most important), and you'll be good..

Its reliable as hell. My Z is 6 years old now, and has not let me down once. My two major repairs were for trans grinding which was fixed by nissan no questions asked..

And a spoiler that costs $2,800 is definitely crap

Expensive tires? I have Volk GT wheels which are the same size. Potenza's run about $300 a tire, i don't see how that is that much more than regular tires.
