Default New to Forum but not to the Z :-) **PICS ADDED!!**

Hey forum! Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm in Panama City, FL and am on my 3rd "Z" Car that I've owned over the years. 1st was my first car... 1980 200SX (baby Z at the time) 2nd was a 1996 300ZX N/A w/ the T-Tops (red w/ black interior) and my current Z is a Chrome Silver 2005 350Z Grand Touring Roadster that I've had for 6 months now that I got a killer deal on. It only had 18,000 miles on it and found it for $19K! I'll post pics when I can get some posted soon. Only 2 mods so far... 19" MRR GT-5 wheels and a JVC KW-NT3HDT Car DVD HD CD GPS Navigation, all-in-one head unit.

More mods to come (body kit, suspension to name a couple)!

Glad to be here and will be looking to y'all for advice along the way!

Cheers!
Erik

Finally got some pics for y'all on here to see my ZR!!

Here's a showcase for my 19" MRR GT-5's! Hope y'all like 'em! I love the way they look on the Z!

And here's my other toy... 2007 BMW R1200R dueling my ZR!

Welcome to the forum Erik. CongratZ on the 350Z.

Was it a Z31 that you had?? I know the badging can be different in different countries, and some countries didn't get certain models. I'd normally associate the 200sx with being a Silvia. And a 200ZR as a 2 litre Z31. Obviously the 2 litre Z31 being more rare than the 3 litre Z31 model.

It was a 1980 "hand me down" from my mom. It was a Datsun 200SX... first year they had imported them to the States. It was indeed the 2.0 4 cyl, but for the life of me, I never knew the engine designator, but from what it sounds like from you, it could be a "Z31."

Your mum has good taste in cars, especially if it spawned the Z obsession.

Thanks. Funny thing is that I didn't want that 200SX to begin with. I was 16 driving a car that was 5 yrs younger than me! LOL

One thing that was very cool about it that I remember was the cylinder head had the Z logo on it, too! :-)
