Alarm will help deter theft but if they really want your car they will get it no matter what alarm system you have. A lot of us do have Viper with remote start and smart start installed on our z if you want to go that way.

 

I believe you can just add the motion senser to the factory alarm. No need for an aftermarket alarm. The car pretty much has to be towed unless they have access to a key programmed to your ECM. What part of town are you in? One of my Z's sits out every night, never had a problem yet.

Might just be me, and not saying it will happen to you...but for a 16/17 year old I was pretty smart, but as for an experienced driver I was an idiot. I would have been dead had I owned this kind of car as my first. Please, don't let it go to your head...learn the car, and respect it...the second you don't it will kill you. Period.

This man speaks the truth...I almost learned it the hard way, literally inches from trashing my car...respect the car and don't speed...mainly around curbs. As far as your car...some people have that ricer style in them...naturally, it probably looks amazing to you..but then again that's all that matters...everyone has their style enjoy it how you want.

I guess it is my style, im 62.5% Filipino, the rest Panamanian, Chinese, German, and Cherokee Indian mix from Hawaii lol. maybe in time i will see what you all see but right now the car to me is truly gorgeous and I love it.

I live in the southwest part of town, I thought i lived in a good neighborhood till the first night i parked in the driveway dogs were barking and a dude was looking under my car with his bright azz flashlight.

 

yea i bought it like how it is in the picture, only thing ive done to it was change out the lift supports in the trunk so they stay up. whoo hoo!!

Welcome to the forum. It looks like a Brickyard, but it's really hard to see from the intial photos. If it is congratulations, you've got a 2003 only colour.

If you like the car, stuff what the sheep think. It's your car.

Best mod you can make to a car, is the things that keep the thing grounded and stuck to the road. Good tyres. Mods are usually just extra weight.

If you like it then that's what matters. That being said I think the only bad things on the car are those headlight covers and the taillights.The wheels aren't terrible but they could be better.

For the most part don't pay attention to most of the comments.You'll quickly learn that on this site the only time a car isn't flamed is when it has the soooo common and overdone setup of a nismo V2 body kit with volk te37s(or any volks). While it does look good it gets old and boring so don't be afraid to be different.

Not the worst Z, definitely able to be saved.

Get new wheels
Scrap the tails for stock 06+
Scrap the headlight covers
Get rid of all the stickers
Get rid of all unnecessary badging, such as the Fairlady Z on the rear
Later down the road, look into buying a new bumper that flows better with your sides and rear, such as the Nismo V1 or V2.

 

ya there were some issues(drama crap) with the owner of the site around that time. 350zen.org is what you wanna get on now. sincityz is an official sanctioned z car club. 350zen (formerly gzcon) is just a big mix of car guys (mainly Zs) that have all known each other for a while.

Nice brickyard Z op, it could be worse.



My suggestions as a start is just remove all those emblems till the only thing left is the Nissan hamburger. Then trade some happy old guy with a stock black Z your hood(your color is really rare,get it painted later) for his.

Then trade said old guy AGAIN, his lights for your 'awesome, senior citizen friendly special age defying' tail lights.' He won't refuse.

+ 10 points for you if you can trade with someone that has a 2006 or up Z; better looking tail lights, led's, brighter, etc.
