Default Thank god!!!!

So this is what happened..I was accelerating pretty fast through a wide curb to the left..I was going fast and my rear gave out on my me..I spun my wheel one way, then the back of my car went the other way...I knew I was going to run off the road and hit the bus stop seat so I HIT the brakes!! My car spun twice and not a scratch on my car. I was facing the opposite direction of traffic and turned around continued to go about my day.

To all the people that attack younger kids for having Zs..I feel you now..I'm 18 and I guess we're the reason insurance is so high. I've only had this car 2 weeks and I nearly crashed it. I want to sincerely apologize for thinking I was being attacked personally, people just hate paying higher insurance prices and I understand why. The sad thing is...I'm actually a very safe driver..I've just been driving an 01 accord for so long that I haven't gotten used to the Z.

I want to thank god and jesus for watching over me, most importantly no one was hurt.

If you guys want to insult me, I won't blame you..I read these forums for hours before I had the Z..and maybe it's better if you insult me so the younger community can be prepared and understand that driving is serious and speed kills.

God Bless!

Way to own up son. I saw the my rear end gave out on me and thought Oh lord here we go, you're gonna catch hell for typing that. After reading on though you save yourself. These cars have more power than most are used to and rear wheel drive which breaks loose fairly easy. Hence the I wrecked my Z posts and the This pertains to 17 year olds getting Z's thread. LOL, Glad you're alright. Lesson learned.

I don't think anyone is going to flame or insult you at all.
Way to man up and making a real contribution.
This is a warning to all the younger drivers out there not to underestimate the skills required to drive a sports car safely.

Quit driving fast and be careful out there. And post pics of your Z. This is a new members section after all.

I had the same thing happened to me when I first bough the Z. I was 18 as well, now 20, the second day I owned it I went out with a friend in the morning around 9 am, stopped at a stop sign turned off the TCS and thought it would be cool to do a burn out while turning will not knowing the power I just bought ended up like u, no crash. Heart on the floor tho. Drove a 97 maxima before the Z.

Now 20 I can tell u a lot has changed, took 4 classes of devensive driving at willow springs. Helped out a lot. From 18-20 I mentally matured a lot..

Thank god ur alright. God gave u you're one shot, now u know

I had TCS on, I never took it off...it was a really wide turn and compared to my old car, it only takes a couple of seconds to reach 40. The sad thing is..now I'm a little paranoid taking turns and I feel like my rear wheels are going to give out on me. I guess it's better to be safe but I can get a little tense. I've taken a driver's course when I was at high school but it was pretty much useless as we drove literally 5mph around cones. I guess I just need a lot more seat time.

1 shot, shame I blew it my first two weeks

Yep, exactly why teens shouldn't have this car. Most of us know the reason because we were all that age one time.

Simple solution....don't cut the wheel all the way and punch it.
