Question 2004 Roadster Touring Headlamps

I just bought my first sports car ever. 2004 350Z Roadster Touring, black, with 38k on it. It's nearly perfect. Everyone thinks I spent $30k on it, but it was a steal. Getting new tires today. Next probably replace the top (a couple of tears make it look used). Then the headlights. Question on the headlights: They are HIDs and appear to have been tampered with. Moisture buildup and what appears to be adhesive or silicone inside the lenses. I'd like to swap out the whole assembly for some regular halogens, but I'm told they can't be wired to the HID plug. I'd prefer halogens due to cost. Excuse my ignorance on the matter; it's my first Z! Can anyone help?

Welcome and congratulations.

If you have HID stick with HID. Halogen to HID or HID to halogen wiring can be problematic. Plenty OEM replacement headlamps on eBay to suit your needs.

Thanks for the welcomes. I guess I'll stick with the HIDs. Anyone know a good supplier? All I've found new are about $650 a pop. Everything on Ebay is used, and I don't want to take a chance on it.
