2003 z last week. Should I mod, or buy newer car?
I bought my 2003 Touring last week for 14k, it has 35,000 miles on it. I'm thinking of getting some rims and a kit, but that's going to cost thousands.
I could put those thousands towards paying off the car as quickly as possible (I think I can pay it off in under 2 years), and then buying a newer car (would I get banned if I said I was thinking of buying a g35 in the future? I'm 26 and I plan on needing that back seat when I'm around 30).
To explain a little more of what I'm planning to do IF I was to go the mod route. I'm not using the car for racing, I will get some basic cheap mods like plenum spacers and an air filter but that's about it, and I want the car to look nice so I I'm going to get some black on chrome 5 spoke rims, a chargespeed rear bumper, a greddy side skirt, and possibly a trial force front bumper.
I'm sure you all already know what a silver 2003 Touring 350z looks like, but if you want a photo of my car here it is: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/7/54745883.jpg/
So what would you do if you were me? Blow thousands on mods even though I know I will probably sell the car in 3 or 4 years, or pay off the car in 18-24 months and get a newer car that I know I will keep for a long time?

That is a question only you can answer. The car only has 35k and 3-4 years is a long time. I don't see anything wrong with doing small exterior/interior mods (going FI is a different story). However, keep in mind when you try to sell the car, you will more than likely have to part out the aftermarket parts and put the car back to stock.

Pay it off, then mod it.
