Default new 17 year old Z member AZ

So I traded my truck for a 2006 Z with 48,000 miles on it 3 days ago.. I absolutly love it so far already have installed an intake.. got a few questions though I'm not really into cars or even know much about theem until I got this one.. I'm more of a diesel truck guy but I'm digging the new change. So one question is exhausts?? I love the sound of stock exhaust just wish it was a little louder is there a way I could remove resonator or muffler and keep the same sound just a little louder?? I'm not wanted to do aftermarket cus I notice some have a rice burnery sound to it.. also I notice the rear speakers right behind the headreests are barely playing music.. is that normal for them to barely be on??? And the fader is set equal on the deck.. they work but just very quietly.. thanks guys!

if you like the stock exhaust's look and sound then just change the cats to high flow cats or test pipes. no need to tamper with the resonator or muffler.

Yeah I know I really don't care just put it to see if there's any other younger members mainly in my area.. I'm not one of the typical teens where mom paid for it and I go around hot rodding and stuff.. I have to pay for everything and I don't race people etc... I just like to cruise.. I have a older mentality then most my age

Welcome and congrats on your Z.

Do yourself a favor and drive slowly, do not use excessive speed where you feel you can get away with it. Do not drive briskly in any adverse weather conditions, or during traffic congestion. You will be tempted, but remember this post, as this forum has seen many young Z owners come to see unfortunate circumstances due to their lack of experience driving.

If you can get to a local track and race where it is safe and sanctioned, participate in local SCCA, auto-x, drift and drag events which are on a track and not on the street.

Good luck.

Most of the members I know live around the tempe area and either go to ASU or just live nearby, and there's even a store specifically for the Z in Tempe (350zmotorsports)

Congrats man, leave your age out next time. Id recommend high flow cats. There's a thread about sound clips from various exhaust setups, search for it. That will help you get a better understanding of some options to improve your exhaust note.

The audio in our cars aren't the greatest. I'm looking into changing mine one day...

Post pics of the z

Oh boy.
Well, actually daddys usually buy sons cars, but if daddy left, i get it. Youre living in Cougartown, i hear ya. haha. jk man.

this threadSTILL deserves the coveted Rick James/ FYC pic post.

Those vets with the higher post counts cant all really be mad at thsi stuff, although i truly feel the shared pain.
But.... its life.
I tell myself this often. I say, well if i really want to be a pimp again suddenly, then go buy a Porsche then McCann.
OP....Thing to know is that most of us are adults at, near, or over 30 who paid 29-45k for our Z's brand new... so seeing the change in the demographic due to thier new affordability bought used w 114k miles on them is painful most of the time. Just is what it is.

Espiritu! Dont you encourage this behavior! Its very unNismo of you haha.
(inserts threadjack here)

btw im super p#ssed i had to come back to AZ today. Ugh.

That suite was off..... the...... hook.
