Just bought my Z Yesterday!
Welcome to the forum OP, that's quite a project you'll have on your hands. Good luck, and definitely keep us updated!!! I see another mammoth Bogshag type tread in the making!

Sad that they totalled it, but at least it came back to the forum and you'll get to see the progress.

That's my old car. There's a lot more wrong back there than just the spring... I was hit by an eighteen wheeler. The entire suspension is shot and the axle is pushed over about 4-6 inches on that side. The wheel is cracked too. All of the airbags deployed on that side as well. The other 3 wheels are ok and the engine is fine. I wanted to keep the car but insurance totaled damages out over $16k so they cut me a check.

Kelly actually found this and texted me and said he thought he found my old Z. Crazy it ended up in VA. Wonder where the actual insurance auction was.
Good introduction lil homie. Props for you for doing all your work on your own and being humble at the same time. 17yr old get flamed upon sight, but you have earned a new level of respect. Please update us with the repairs, lights, bumper, paint, etc.
btw is that rear rim reusable? hard to tell in the picture

Nah, I'mma leave those wheels I likem, I'm not gonna do 20's on it. And are you sure that's it? Because I don't think the axle's pushed over that much through the pictures? And I'm not going to do crazy paint on this one.
Wait I was reading just now and saw it said you're from St. Louis? That's where we're going to pick it up... :/ Might see you down there man! And we got it off of a Copart Auction!

Check out www.wheeldude.com and ask for Dan when you go to replace the broken one.
The headlights are the oem headlights that came on the 06-08 Z's. The 06's had most of the updated styling cues of the 07 and 08 (except the bump on the hood). They also had a different engine unique to only the 06's - the Rev-Up engine. The two major upgrades to do to the Rev-Up are already done: Motordyne MREV2 (lower intake manifold) and the Motordyne 3/16" plenum spacer.
The suspension is upgraded on the car. It has a very nice setup actually, ready for autox or taking it to the track. The shocks are Koni Yellow Sports. The springs are RSR Ti2000 Down Springs. The sway bars are the Motordyne adjustable sways. I did have an exhaust on the car but I swapped it for the OEM after the accident to recoup any money I could that I had in it. I was unable to swap any of the suspension or engine parts so I just left everything else on the car.

I also saw the shifter? Is it stock or is it a shorter one? And do you still have the exhaust or is it sold? If so I might buy it off of you.
Also if you've dyno tested it or know about how much hp etc it has with add ons please let me know!

I never had it dynoed, but with the mods added, the car gained a large amount of power across the entire powerband, but top-end was the most noticeable. Do some research on here and find out why the Rev-Up needs a plenum spacer and why it also benefits from the MREV2

I no longer have the exhaust unfortunately. If you check the for sale threads on here you can find plenty of good deals on exhausts from part-outs.

Congrats on the new Z, OP. And you can't do much better than finding the original owner on here for advice/info. Can't wait to see the lady in blue resurrected once you get her back home.

The RevUp engine revs to a higher rev limit via a few upgrades over the previous years that include oil pump, rod bolts, etc. but it's still the same basic engine layout/design.
