Loving our new fun car!
Hello all!! My hubby and I just bought a gently loved 04 350 Z Touring Roadster on Tuesday. We absolutely love it and were so excited to have a fun/weekend car. The Z we got has Nav, ventilated leather seats, 6 speed manual, Magnaflow duel exhaust, and only 50K miles. We searched for the last month for the perfect car and after test driving an '02 Porsche Boxster and an '08 Mazda MX-5 (our daily drivers are a '09 Mazda 6 and a '10 Mazda CX-7) we decided the Z was the best option. So excited to be apart of the community!
Lol yea if you just glance you can't tell it's a reflection of the clouds. I came out of the store and another z came and parked next to me. I have noticed that since we got it other z owners wave. I remember it was like that when I had a mustang. Another thing is it's funny the faces of people when they see that I prefer to drive manual (bc I'm a girl).

Just got back from getting some quotes for modifications. We are going to reupholster the seats so that they are all leather instead of the ventilated part being cloth. Going to do them in electric blue with black sections with the shifter leather being blue. Also some blue led lighting on the gauges. Going to black out the tail lights, turning signals in the back. Eventually get black rims with electric blue pin striping on them. What does everyone think?

Yea my dad taught me when I was 16. We traded in one of our cars(our only manual) last year for a suv and ever since then we have been wanting a fun car that was manual. I'm 25 and I prefer manual too. Ever since I had a supra when I was 17 I have been into cars lol.

Also, the Z wave is definitely there! Haha I came from the Mustang world too, and us oldschool 5.0 guys all would give the nod, whether cruising around town or at the track.
Hi, welcome to the forum (we’re in desperate need of a little more beauty to counteract some of the beasts here). (I kid
) I have the same car, same year, and same color as you. It’s my daily driver and has been exceedingly reliable.
One thing to keep in mind, is that the convertible top needs some extra attention compared to the coupe model. Every now and then, use a specialty top fabric cleaner followed up by an application of top protectant. I use RagTop products. Also every few years, all the top actuation gears, linkages, and pivots need lubrication. There are 5 electric motors to power all the top functions and if all the linkages don’t move smoothly it’s very hard on the motors. This is not all that much extra service and it’s kept my top working and looking good for the past 8 years.

Looking to reupholster my frost seats... What's the going rate for that type of work if you don't mind my asking?

I know the majority of people want to lower or put body kits on them, but we cannot do anything like that due to our storm shelter. We already had to construct a ramp to get it in the garage. Is it the color that you think is so bad?
