Saying hello :)
I just purchased my first Z about 2 months ago. Have always loved this car and now that I have gotten past by young and naive days I decided it was time to treat myself. Took a good amount of time to find the Le Mans color in a manual that wasn't a salvaged title but it was well-worth the wait. I decided on a 2004 Touring Edition and it brings a smile to my face whenever I think about it. Seems the original owner took very good care of the car since the paint is in very good condition with only the most basic of wear and tear on the inside as well.
I'm a bit of a minimalist so I am very happy to keep the car looking as 'stock' as possible (Hard to improve on perfection in my humble opinion). First order of business was a new clutch, my local performance shop suggested a Competition Clutch and after almost two weeks of high revs and a few stalls, I have finally gotten the hang of the new clutch and flywheel.
Second order of business was the poor Bose system and after several tear-downs of the interior I have a nice Pioneer Double Din bluetooth headunit, new component system in the doors and improved rear speakers. And to top of the sound was a nice form fitting 10" sub to replace the Bose behind the seat. All in original locations with no modding necessary (other than a box to place behind the sub for improved performance).
I have ordered a new GReddy Spectrum Elite Exhaust for my baby and since I'm one who doesn't want to draw too much attention, I am having the tips painted. As I'm sure many people love the color of the GReddy exhaust I was not all that enthusiastic about it. I must thank all the people who posted info on the sound and performance gains on the forums, a huge help in deciding on this piece.
I also have to thank the superb write up on how to paint the interior radio/cubby/shift cover of the Z, as mine did need some care and now looks like new. This forum has been of great help and I love coming in and seeing what's new in the world of Z cars.
I'm looking at swapping the OEM rims for some Volks but as my girlfriend suggested, I should delay doing everything so quickly so I can get more enjoyment out of the process. So the rims may have to wait a little bit
I will try to post additional pictures but for the time being I'm just smiling
