Default New Z in Portland, OR

Hey all, I've been wanting a Z for a long time, and after test driving about 10 cars Saturday (including a really nice 2012 370), I found a sweet 350 that I couldn't pass up. It was at a VW dealer and advertised as the enthusiast trim, but I'm kinda thinking it's a GT. Has the Bose 6 disk and leather wheel, but it looks like the brakes were changed by the dealer before the sale to plain disk brakes.

Either way, I'm freaking stoked to have it.

I know they come with Brembo's... which is why I said the braking system was replaced by the VW dealer I bought the car from.

Welcome!
A real clean Z!The best OEM wheels on the Z.

It's an enthusiast...dealer changed the brakes? Why would he take off the Brembos?
You can trace the VIN to confirm the model.

Have fun with the Z--THATS WHAT THEY ARE FOR!

Thanks! I've tried tracing the VIN on various sites including carfax and I get "enthusiast/touring/grand touring/performance/track" ... which just seems like a multiple personality disorder

I haven't heard of a heated leather wheel. Is that something that comes on convertibles, like heated grips on a motorcycle? The Grand Touring models come with heated leather seats, also they have the Rays forged wheels along with the Brembos.

Welcome to the forum.

Hmm... wasn't trying to be all anything, just saying that the dealer told me that due to the Used Car resale law in Washington state, they had to replace the current braking system because it wasn't where it needed to be.

I really don't care one way or the other what it is, since I like the car It was more of a "huh, I wonder if the dealer knew what they were talking about."

Sorry if you took my comment to mean more than it did.

Welcome to the forum.
I've never heard of a heated wheel either...?

I do have the heated seats though, so that's a nice bonus!

It appears to be a Touring. When the dealer said he needed to replace the "current brake system" he could have been talking about pads and/or calipers.

I agree it doesn't make sense to remove the Brembo set up that comes with the Grand Touring and replace with the standard Z brakes.

Beautiful car though!! (It's exactly like mine.)

Oh I totally agree that it would have been dumb of them to remove the Brembos, if it did have them. I'm fine with it being a Touring; in fact we spent the day together driving all over the Columbia Gorge haha!

The dealer didn't seem to know much about the car, which is the only reason I had questions... to be honest, the whole deal was a little dodgy for a number of really small reasons. I mean, everything is legit, but there were just a few things they kept 'forgetting' to mention before paper signing.

I LOVE the color, couldn't have asked for anything better!
