Default Just bought an 03 350z Touring!

It has 60k miles and I love it! One thing I noticed is the clutch only grabs right at the end of the throw, like pedal almost all the way out. I'm not used to it from my SVT focus. Is that normal? I have 30 day power train warranty so I just want to make sure it isn't a clutch issue. Thanks!

Thumbs up

Bastard you got the only other color I was considering when I grabbed my Le Mans Sunset. Super nice car, CONGRATS, same as mine expect the color... I bought mine yesterday.

I'm actually traveling to MN on a business trip next week, hope it stays WARM cause I'm from FL so anything below 70 is "cold" to me

Great color!--brickyard.

Looks pretty clean--good miles.
I've got 74k on my 03 ...runs like new.

Welcome aboard.

Congratulations on your Z! I love that maroon-like (or is it maroon?) color. Have fun and take care of it!

Thanks everyone! I love the car so far, especially the heated seats as it gets chilly up here in MN.

Having not driven any other 350z, is it normal that almost all of the clutch engagement/disengagement is at the very top of the throw?

Man, I love that color. Congrats on your purchase. Perform a hard shift from 3rd to 4th gear(on a closed course). If it slips at that point go ahead and plan on purchasing a clutch.

no it isn't, but it could be just how it is adjusted...

most Z's I have driven usually engage fairly low. though most I have driven aren't stock clutches.

I'm assuming a hydraulic clutch, well because that's just how things are now. haha. Which means there wouldn't be adjustment like a cable or anything.

there is at least pedal adjustment. do you have service records for the car? if this is the original clutch, I wouldn't think it odd to possibly be at the end of it's life.

From searching on here it seems like a risky venture to adjust the pedal.

Clutch grabs well, I'm just complaining about the 4-5 inches of clutch travel towards the bottom that do absolutely nothing.
