Hey guys, I'm not hear to brag about me winning a Z, just wanted to see if the guy was from here or not, plus that would be proof and say really good race. I've also lost to like 2 Z's and I'm not talking mess and saying, " Oh he was modified or something",Just a better driver. I Love the Z, it's looks, styling and handling. If I had the money I'll have a Z, EVO and Enzo in my driveway. The Z for drifting, EVO for rallying, SRT for draging and Auto X, and Enzo For the Ladies and all out street power.

Thanks to the guys who welcome me. Sorry if My first post mis led those who thought i was hear to brag and say my car is faster. Both cars are fast and have almost identical times, so I'll just leave it at that. I'm just a car Enthusiast, and looking for cool peoples to talk to who have same likes and interests.

As for the Z vs. SRT-4 debate, can we get over this? It's a driver's race. SRT-4 has 10 less whp and weighs ~400 pounds less, but it's fwd and has a peakier powerband than the Z.

 

From my experience, and this coming from someone who just purchased a new 04 enthusiast. If the srt-4 driver knows how to drive his car he shouldnt lose to a 350z. This being in stock form. In the quarter mile which both trap in my area at a little over 101+ the srt-4 will edge the Z out by about a tenth. But after the quarter mile the Z does pull on the srt-4 and eventually pass him.

While I know I could have bought a faster car out of the box and mod for mod the Z cant touch the srt-4. Most srt-4 owners fail to take a step back and even if they refuse to call it a neon it essentially is. I give the car the respect it deserves for its speed but when it all comes down to it, it is something i could NEVER see myself driving.

Wow...I should feel special that I have been mildly at least accepted here! Though I used to drive a Trans Am, I converted to a Z. They gave me a hard time at the dealer with almost not letting me buy one, but then after much investigation they found not disputes between Trans Am's and Z's so I was allowed into the brotherhood.

 

Totally disagree. I raced one myself and saw him in my right side mirror by the time we hit 70. I didnt even bother to launch the Z.

On the other hand I say y'all are being to harsh on MySRT4. I dont think he intended to brag and I believe A good driver in an srt-4 could beat a poor drive in a z.................... An automatic Z

All kidding aside welcome dude. If I only could have afforded 22 grand I would have gotten an SRT4 or a WRX.

Thanks for the welcomes, and for those who bring negativety, I just ignore it. I'm mature enough to be fighting on the internet, about whos car is better than the other, etc. I just came here because I like the Z and because it might be my next car, once my income taxes come in. Still looking and deciding what exactly I want.

So any SoCal. Z owners see me driving around on the 405 or 91fwy in my Silver SRT with PROLIFIC on my rear windows, don't bother to say Hi, or give me a rev I'm always on these fwys at night, especially the 405 when I go to work. Peace

 

Damn, I never realized that there were so many children on my350z.com. I can't believe that you guys act this way. I am suprised that I am even welcome on this site considering I don't even drive a Z!! You haters really have to get a life and understand that there are CAR ENTHUSIASTS in the world.

Just a side comment, that i'm throwing in here. First, welcome aboard MySRT4. Like yourself, I want to get a Z at some point. I'm just researching all the info I can until I do (hopefully this time next year - gah the wait).

Anyways, what i was going to say is WHY does Subaru have to make such an *** UGLY CAR. The WRX is pretty damn quick from what I've read - quicker than the Z? Not sure but damn I've seen those things fly. But I just cannot dig any part of it's body. I know it's got the whole rally car appeal but it really is not sporty looking at all *shrugs*. Nice specs though....
