Whats happening board! I need help. I got my money right I got my credit up to par now I need to make a decision. 3 or G!?! Other that the back seat I need some info from another prespective other than the dealer trying to sell me a car. Is the any technical and experienced info that you guys can offer to help me decide. Im not a new nissan owner but this would be my first car from them. I got a solid 98 Pathy. That has held up great. So I decided to say screw the Vette and go with the Nissan. Again I ask. 3 or G? To be honest Im going to take this info into SERIOUS consideration.
Im also going to post this on the G35 section of the board so come join the debate over there also. Ill also inform them that I posted over here.
I REALLY REALLY need some pros and cons guys. Thanks in advance for the advice. Lets talk!

Does a back seat matter?
Are you looking for a PURE sports car or for luxury?

 

What floats your boat is the operative word for buying a sports car. I fell in luv with looks of the Zzz and would not consider the G35.........though it is a fine car.

 

Well I got my Pathy. So a back seat dosent matter. I guess what I wanna know which can I mod out more. I hear (stock) that the G had more rwhp. Is this true. HEY MAN my moms family is in Holly Springs and in waterford. We got land in waterford about 30 mins form Ole Miss. Howdy nieghbor!!! The I hear abotu all the problems. Maybe I shoulda started a poll, but I wanna see a G an"Z" owner talk intelligent or ignent,lol, about their babys. So i can make a choice. I like the Gs tail light and the sunroof options and the Z is ole school and the book from the dealer puts you in racer mode, which I know is all ********. Im leaning heavly towards the Z but those Gs look so damn fly alos. AAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGG! Damn in confused!!!!!!!! Then I hear you can maybe find a Nissan dealer who will add a TT and you can maintain the factory waranty. Will Infinity do this?
The word FINE always comes up when you mention the G. Hell I want a road warrior not a "fine" automboie. I wanna pel out thrown my back end and get the **** on down. Can the G do this?

 

Do you want a true sports car, or do you want a sporty luxury touring car? If you answered sports car, get the Z. If you answered touring machine, get the G.

They're both great cars. I just met a neighbor of mine today that had noticed my car. He just got a new G 35 coupe. He complimented my car and checked it all out, then we went and looked at his. Both cars are great. Think of the G as a Z with a backseat and trunk. Luxury items are standard while my optioned out Touring model has just about everything the G has. You wont go wrong with either car.

 

Forgot to mention that when he started the G35 today, the exhaust note was mean. Is ours that loud? Ive never listened to my car because ive never let anyone drive it!! I know the G sounded awesome.

MyZ4U2C. I REALLY appreciate the info. I test drove the Z on 12/26 and I LOVED the sound. So the touring has the same bells and whistles as the G. I think when I get off tomorrow Ill go test the G.
As for you ichyballs or what ever u go by. How about I stick my foot up ya *** for the first time. I werk and struggle like everyone else. F**k you. Pay me!

 

Ichibahn, I dont see where your irrelevant post came from. He never once said he was rich or bragged about having money. He was talking to ME in that part of the post and nothing he said warranted your reply.

 

I dont know who Leigh Hood is. Usually when I say Hood, people instantly think of Coach Hood from CADET Jr. High/Holy Family School or Mrs. Hood from Sims (Intermediate School).

Some of the Halls and Millers I know work at Rust. *shrug* oh well...I'll end the charade.

 

I agree with most people here, it depends on what you want.
All I care about is performance, so I bought the track Z...

 

their the same car in every argueable way.

they could have easily called the G35 a 350Z 2+2.

the G35 is a bit more comfy; and has the back seat.

the Z is about 200lbs lighter(based on nissan specs as I remember them) and has a certain futuristic hightech appearance on the interior.

they both have basicly the same modifications available; tho the G35 is ussually a month or 2 behind as they make the stuff for the Z then modify it to fit the slight differences of the G.

 

i have the same dilemma as u!

here's what i see so far as far as what i like in each...

Z: Z heritage, exterior style (yeah, i think the Z is nicer), sportier, a little more hp, lighter

G: longer warranty, more for your money compared to Z (steering wheel controls for stereo, 2 extra seats, more cargo space), slightly better interior styling, insurance will be cheaper?

lol...i still don't know...best case? get both!

Ive owned my Z for 6 months... i still get that feeling of G or Z...

I love my Z... straight up... People are still givin the Z stare... but the other night when a Modded G pulled up with a body kit, rims, etc... all i could do is stare... wow...

But after attending the Z meet in CT. Im glad i got the Z over the G... The Z car has a history about it. Infiniti's seem to revamp their line up every few years...

Since i bought my car out right... dealers not knowing this... i really didnt like the attitude at the infiniti dealers... i used to own an infiniti, the service was great, but i think most of them are stuck up... just my 2 cents...

 

I was doing this same debate, I ended up with the Z, could not be happier.

Now, every time I see a G35 driving next to me, I think myself that I got the Z. It looks SO much nicer (IMO).

The G is a nice car, but in my area it is almost an old persons car. I see a TON of them also, probably see about 15+ G35's for every 1 Z I see.

 

Morphiend hit the nail on the head. It's a nice looking car. But it doesnt catch your eye like the Z does.
