Default Las Vegas

Just picked up a 2003 La Mans Sunset 350Z with a few mods. I'll be lurking here on the site gathering information and then bugging all of you for some knowledge.

I've been around cars for a while. I've mostly owned modded DSMs and love turbos. I decided I needed something more mature than my 89 Dodge Colt GT Turbo (2.0L swap) and RWD. The Z fit and the price was right.

First order of business on the car are some different wheels (chrome crap on it now) and some lower seats. I'm 6'10" and I don't fit very well. But it's the price I pay. After that, I'm going to need more speed, as this is NOT faster than my **** box Colt. Anyway, I look forward to meeting some of you and getting to know how the Nissan guys work as opposed to the DSM/EVO crowd.

I'm also on 350ZMotoring.com so I can gather as much info as possible on my new car.

Holy crap, I wouldnt have driven it home with those wheels on it. 350zen.org is the local Z group , not much activity on the site just classifieds and where our meets are.

Just ordered some XXR 522's 18x8.5 w/ 245/40 and 18x9.5 w/ 275/40 Sumitomo HTRZ III's. I'll have to start a small build thread to update the little bit of progress I make on this car.

Bought the car in Pahrump for a good deal. Need to see if their "drivetrain warranty" will cover the bad 5th gear I have. If not, I'll have to get a CD009 from someone around here.

Here's my adventure to get my XXR 522s delivered and mounted. I got them on last weekend, but I'm lazy about posting sometimes. Enjoy.

Ignore the white Colt GT in the garage. Unless you want to buy it. It's still faster than this Z.
