Welcome man. As a fellow college student, it sounds as though you are heading in the right direction. I've worked hard for my money and enjoy modifying my car while saving my money. Nonetheless, I'd highly recommend you save a majority of the money and INVEST it! Get an exhaust, test pipes, JWT pop charger, lowering springs, front/rear cambers, rear toe kit, and a set of good quality (used) wheels with good tires. That all cost me about 4k and I love my car.

Like most jave said... Do your best to save the cash but you could always wait and find a great deal on nice used rims if you're patient, then sell your stockers. I'd also recommend a pop charger (used if possible), the sound difference is well worth the small fee compared to a full exhaust.
