This. I get real tired of the anti-cop crap. Keep on topic or I will start handing out infractions.

Haha. I don't mind talking about cop stuff. I will say, that I probably have to worry less about the speed limit than most people. However, I also have to be safe, because if I were to hurt someone, I'd definitely be held accountable in my personal and professional life.

A lot of our cops actually build drag cars and sports cars. One of the guys on my shift has a 400 hp fox body and another one has a 1000 hp old mustang that he drag races. Honestly, in my town we don't go hunting for speeders unless we have to. I live in the metro east St. Louis area (IL side), so we have bigger fish to fry.

I don't plan on heavily modding the car, especially not for a while. Our plan is to pay it off by Christmas. I would eventually like to get Nismo suspension, which I had on my spec v and loved, and a nice quiet exhaust, but a little louder than stock. Maybe Nismo on that as well? I loved all of the nismo aftermarket parts I had on the spec v. They performed great and held up well. I hope things haven't changed.

Is it worth the cash to put brembos on this car? About how much would it cost? I'm not very crafty, so I'd probably buy the brakes and have a shop put them on.

Thanks for all of the welcomes.

^^ nismo exhasut is great.
But brembos? No, not a great way to spend your cash....theres a 370 Nismo Sport brakes conversion/upgrade kit available now, i think its like 1800 bucks for the whole thing w stoptech rotors, or like 1700 w oems.. 13.8" brakes all around i believe.. very cool, just saw a set installed here in town.

Hit up Coz at ConceptZperformance and tell him Brian sent you.. hes a family friend.

nice find, enjoy your Z....I always forget to ask but since you are a cop. would it be legal to put a light bar in your Z and actually use it since you actually work for law enforcement. Just curious

We need to start and "Ask a LEO" thread on here or has the search bar failed me?

I have these and have been very happy with them. Coz and the team has been very helpful when I had questions. You can also catch a used pair in the marketplace on sale from a reliable member if you bide your time. I got mine from Flo-rida for $1k and they were cleaner than my kitchen table.

I think they're slightly bigger in the front (14" fronts and 13.8" rears IIRC) and the pads are relatively inexpensive too. The only downside is that the front calipers are HUGE, which means they look great, but you have consider that for some wheel fitments.

Thanks for the brake advice, gentleman. I'm not ready to buy just yet, but maybe after a while. I'll definitely bookmark the options you gave me.
