Well i've owned my z about 1-1/2 years and never had an issue.

Today I rolled my windows down using the keyless entry as i always do, and now my driver side will not roll back up.

Any insight?

 

Window motor died. It's a pretty common problem.

EDIT: why is this in the new owners section?

I had mine get stuck in the down position about 4-5 weeks ago and used the suggestion from jinsei888 and it worked out (as it did for the others in the post that tried it). Note that banging on your door panel is a temporary fix to just get your window up. You will still need to replace the window motor. I have to do mine still.

 

Did you search????????????? of course not then you would've found or known that the motors go bad all the time and that there is a diy . smh

Very very common problem with these cars. Search for a diy guide. The repair is not the easiest thing in the world, but it can be done.

 

Mine is acting up again too, if you hold the switch up and close the door at the same time it should go up. Might have to do that a couple times.

 

Everytime I go into the maintenance forums to answer a question, there is always someone talking about window motors. If he would have shown even an ounce of effort he wouldn't have made this thread.

 

Saran wrap and duct tape are your friend. You just have to climb over into the passenger seat from now on to get out! Try spraying the duct tape to match the paint on the car.
