Default New Z Owner!

Hey guys,

First off, let me say I am proud to finally own one of these bad boys lol. However, I've been offered a trade, for another Z of course, that is pretty interesting to think about. I have an 03' Z with 104 on the dash with a dark silver color and black roof; the other guy has an 03' Z with 160 on the dash, i know i know high mileage, but it was the color I had initially wanted (white). Now my question is, at 160k well taken care of and checked out clean by a mechanic, would these trade be worth it/ what sort of maintence should I expect and at what cost? If he offered roughly 2k cash on top of trading, would this deal be worth it? Both are touring models as well. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated!

Thanks ! And do you have any reasons or pros/cons for why I should keep mine? Just looking for any kind of info on the car. Because a buddy of mine has one at 180k now and it runs great, but all cars are different. Just trying to learn as much as I can.

Trading your car because you want a different color and the car you plannin on getting
has 160K,does'nt make sense to me.If you got a thing about white cars, get yours painted.Could be by now with your miles, the paint is not great, some dings, bumper has road rash etc.

Congrats on the purchase OP. I understand wanting to swap out your car for the color of your dreams, so what color Z did you get? IMO, 160 miles and $2K just won't cut it. Is the high mileage Z in overall better shape? If you're planning an HR swap or something down the road, then it might be worth it.

Thanks for the reply! Always appreciative of the feedback. Anyway, my Z is dark silver with a black roof, however i feel the white looks a little classier. I would also be purchasing a carbon fiber hood, smoked rear and front lenses for starters and I feel that would look best on the white colored Z. And I feel there is honestly more maintence to come with my Z, as the electronics such as the gas meter and oil meter have failed at times so Im assuming there will be more electrical issues to come... Plus his car is inspected until 2014 and agreed to take it to a mechanic with me to make sure it checks iout accordingly. And with nissan, I feel that if its taken car of, 160k miles isnt as drastic as some people may think. Any more thoughts? Thanks!
