in all seriousness not being a dick driving lessons like advanced techniques and what not will make you "faster" . some track day events will also help your technique probably kick off a couple of miliseconds. then id do some modifications. really the only big gain is going to be FI (forced Induction) other then that its going to be alot of money per HP. i say stay stock get those lessons / track days down then after the car is an extension of yourself kick it up. FI is going to cost you big bucks dont get cheap kits. and really if you dont like maintance dont bother.
Sincerly your friendly everyday Z driver

Agreed. And of course we're envisaging that your new skills we be best utilised on the track.
^^This and I heard if you run Jet fuel in your Z you can gain like 200hp maybe more depending on supporting mods.
na bro i heard it was canola oil, strait from the store.
In all seriousness, the best mod for your car = better driver, learn to drive your car first, than mod after so you can figure out what you need to mod.
