Default Weight question

I'm pretty damn confused right now. The door vin on my 2003 Touring 350z says 3815 pounds curb weight.

Does it really way that much?!

Yah, noobish question lol.

My 03 touring, back in 2006, weighed in at 3420lbs done on a truck scale. the 3800 numbers seems mis-interpreted.

I thought gross weight was just the car itself, empty, parked. Lol.

Thanks everyone. I'm going to assume it's in the 3400s since it's fully loaded.
