Hello all,

I just recently pulled the trigger & purchased a used 350Z

Specs of the car:
- Touring model
- 2008 year model
- 6-Speed manual
- Silver with black leather interior
- Mileage 72,000 miles

I live in Kuwait & this vehicle was imported from the US. I believe the car has few issues:

1) Transmission was leaking - easy cheap fix of just a seal which I already did & transmission oil level was low which was filled
2) There is a sound when the car is stopped once I let my foot off the clutch - I did search & it seems I have a bad through out bearing
3) I hear a unpleasant whine sound on all gears except 5th when pushing the gas pedal which is scaring me Do you guys know what could that be? Transmission issue ?

Congrats on the new car!

1. Hopefully the car wasn't driven long with low tranny oil. I would do a flush and refill if you didn't already. Make sure you check for metal shavings.
2. The Z is notorious for having a loud chatter when you let off the clutch. This is completely normal, so I wouldn't be worried unless you are having clutch issues such as slip or difficulties engaging.
3. How loud is the whine? I remember my car slightly whining in higher gears before I installed my exhaust. Remember, this car is a loud car, the diff is loud, the driveshaft is loud, tranny is loud and engine is loud. It is something you will get used to.
