Had my brand new Z for a few months now
Ok I have bought this 350z in March and I have been having issues with it ever since. Within the first month of owning it the clutch died and now its doing all kinds of wierd crap. I have no idea what it could be as I am not very mechanically well off. Ok so the most receant issue started around the time I was sitting at a stop light and my check engine light just came on. I put my foot on the gas to go when it turned green and I got no response. I put it in neutral and tried to rev the engine and it still would not go so I got out and pushed it to a safer place and called a tow truck. When the tow gets on the scene now the car wants to work again. So I am on the way home from work yesterday and bam it happens only this time on a bridge while im going. Luckially I was on the downhill part and could just coast down. After letting it sit for a few minutes I started it again and continued going home. Today I went out to run an errand and now the gas pedal isnt even working when I start it. I am tired of constantly foxing stuff on this car and I am hoping you guys can maybe help me work through this since now I am not willing to spend much more money on this car. I am wondering if any of you know what the issue is. Maybe we can get this fixed before I rid my self of this burdin. Any imput would be appreciated.

Did you ever have the clutch replaced? and have you taken it to go and get the CEL checked out? these are things you need to do, especially if you say you are mechanically inclined.
It has 52500 miles and its 2005. I cant get codes on it because I don't have the reader for it. I don't know how to fix it myself if I did have the codes and stuff. The clutch was replaced last month about 700 miles ago. I am not mechanically inclined. I after reviewing my post just now saw a lot of typos. I apologize. Since the car is now at the point that it cant go anywhere I was typing through my last post really fast because I was mad since I cant understand this. I shouldn't be having all these problems on this car since I only just got it in march. Oh and I have absolutely no idea what the CEL that stuartc323 is talking about even is.

Loose fuse. Explains the off then on scenario. Fuse is not set in fully, as far as which fuse IDK
Still learning about this car, but from past experience it sounds like a loose fuse. Check your fuse box for any loose ones.
Also could be a sensor going out.
