New to the forum, not to a Z
Hey guys, I recently picked up a 2008 350Z, not the first Z I've owned though. In the past I was lucky enough to own a 1990 300ZX n/a, with beyond low millage when I was younger and further down the road while still owning the n/a picked up a gorgeous 1991 TT swapped 300ZX. So I've seen the uglier side of the Z world and man did I miss it, as a pain as they were to work on they were worth it. So a few years after selling them both it was time.
I picked up the 2008 Pikes Peak White base model. Exactly what I wanted. The price was right, listed for 21,000 paid 16,900 before taxes. It had super low millage, though a few down sides. The only past owner had a minor accident . Car fax wasnt to bad. Just minor bumper damage. Frame was straight and rode like a charm. Another bad side well the other owner had .... well I'll just let ya see. lol

Set up is a 4k true two piece Asanti's. Just not my style
First plan of action, had the bumper re sprayed. Needed a bit of love.

Saw a great deal on Takeda short ram set up so picked those up.
Than my buddy had a set of stock wheels but weren't in the best shape. Needed new tires and ALOT of love. Picked them up with a set of S-Techs with super low millage already on the struts. He did a coil over set up so I couldn't beat that, picked up the wheels, had new tires tossed on the rears and picked a paint color. Found one that matched my corolla pretty well thought it was kinda gnarly so I did em. Spent about 3 hours sanding and finishing all the wheels before I painted em They had some deep hits. But all in all came out pretty great, Another upside to getting those 20's off was I now had tire pressure sensor so that damn light got turned off.

Got the tires and suspension all done and was alot happier with the stance. Need spacers soon and a new set of wheels down the road.

New spent $5 and made a plate bracket, super simple set up. If anyone wants the run down I'll do a thread. I used to not rock em at all but I am sick of paying those tickets and I dont hate it too much.

Last thing that was recently done was I needed to replace the trunk actuator because out of the blue it kept popping open. Weird.
Also picked up a Mishimoto C/F shift **** from CZP and a rear trunk carpet from Ronp350z on here. Great dude btw super fast shipping, check out his part out thread.
More updates as they happen, thanks for checking out my progress. It feels good to be back in a Z again.
