Default rx7 Owner, soon to be 350z.

Hi guys,

I owned a 93' FD a fully built 13B. But it is going to my brother and now i'm looking towards getting a 2003-2004 350z track edition? I'm currently looking for a high mileage one to rebuild. Just curious about WELD RTS 15x10 wheels. I've done some research but cant find straight answers... I definitely would want these in the rear with some nice drag radials. Some people say they will clear stock breaks but not brembos? If anyone has this set up or anything simliar please give some feedback. Thank you!!

Couple questions:

1. Would it clear the Brembo brakes on the track edition?

2. What backspace?

3. What size tires/Will i have to roll fenders?

My drag slick setup: 26x10.5-15 MT ET Streets. 15x8 (4.75" BS) Steelies. To clear my standard non brembo brakes, I had to shave about 5-6mm off the rear edges of the calipers AND run a 5mm spacer. Never had any problems though. I recently switched to the OEM Brembo brakes and it is no where near clearing, so I will need to get a new setup.

Thanks for the info Bmurray and that setup looks sick! Did shaving the break calipers have any effect? Also do you know what you're using for your new setup?

shaving the calipers did not affect a thing! and yes. i'll be going to 26x10.5-16 and using the oem rear 300zx tt wheels. they clear brembos fine. few people here run them on their slicks.

I see I saw somewhere, someone said 15's wont clear the rear brakes at all even non-brembos? but said some 16's do though? I mean I definitely will be on the streets more than the track but I still love the mean look of Weld wheels with D/R's.

Edit: Just remembered you ran 15x8's.. What do you think would be a good street setup?
