Default 350Z owner for the first time

Hi everyone
I just purchased in October an 03 Touring MT. It is completely stock except I think the wheels are from a newer year 350Z. The car has relatively high mileage, 118K , but seems in in pretty good condition, except it needs tires, AC compressor, DTCs 0031 & 0071 O2 sensor heater cct. & has a noisy TO bearing. Winter is settling in here, New Brunswick Canada, so this will be my Winter project. I'm retired & have a heated garage. I plan on putting a complete clutch kit in it, as well as refurbishing the AC.
I have owned a 71 240Z, A 280Z & a 280ZX Turbo. I currently own an 87 RX-7 TurboII with an LT1/4L60E combo that has gone 11.87@ 116 just driving it off the street. The 350Z handles lite years ahead of the RX-7.
I have already learned much from this site, & from a downloaded 03 service manual.
Stew

Congrats. Looks like a nice z. I'm sure you will love it. And the throw out bearing is loud even on z with low miles lol.

You will learn quick how expensive tires are.

Thanks for all the welcomes. I find this site a great help, especially the DIY posts.
I thought I would provide an update of what I've done since I bought the 350Z.
  • replaced hatch struts
  • buffed the entire car using, 1200,1500, 2000 grit paper, 3m rubbing compound & polish
  • cleaned & painted calipers red

I live in New Brunswick Canada, but I am now in South Carolina visiting my kids over Christmas.
While I am here I've ordered some stuff to take advantage of free shipping, no duty, etc. Between my wife & I, we are allowed $1600 duty free.
To date I've bought:
  • Exedy NSK1000 clutch
  • 4 20mm wheel spacers
  • used AC compressor & new belt
  • 2 O2 sensors & misc gaskets
  • wheel nuts
  • test pipes
  • OBD2 checker

I still want to get
  • Tein S.Tech springs
  • Nitto extreme 555 tires
Im getting anxious to get home & start working on the car
