Smile New Z new to forums

I'm brand new to owning the 350z and new to forums. I find my self on this forum a lot when searching for ideas and what others have done to their's so I decided to join. My mechanical abilities are not very impressive, but I'm great at taking things apart always been a "tinker". Growing up my best friend's family owned a garage. He always had some bad a** car I wish I could have.
Well now I'm an adult working hard and making my way. So I purchased my 350z back in October and started the long long list of mods. I purchased a 2003, burnt orange touring 350. Ever since the car was released I wanted one, so kind of a dream car for me. Well the money was right and the time was right so I took the dive.
I picked the car up with a blown motor. The guy had 2 350z's for sale 1 for parts and a supercharged one. I bought both and ditched the supercharger for a TT set up. Where I don't want to sound like an "endless money" person my line of work has set me up with some great contacts and great deals. I bought a Greddy TT kit and inter cooler. I plan to do all the supporting mods. Rods, pistons, cams, sleeves, 1mm larger valves, radiator, 750cc injectors, full exhaust, stage 3 clutch and flywheel the list goes on for a little. Anyways the day I bought the car I dropped it at a performance shop in Dallas, Tx with all the above parts. Now the car is nearing completion and I'm excited to join up with other 350z drivers. I only have one picture of it before the work started. I will try and post it but I have no idea how to right now. Anyways look forward to talking to people and learning about their cars.

Yea for sure ill pm you, I move back and forth for work between Dallas, Texas and Oklahoma, city the car should be ready in another week or so . The reason I picked NTX is because they have a pretty reputable name, with a lot of experience building all kinds of cars and trucks. They work with dealerships and regular people. The staff is really friendly/helpful. Also work on a lot of Nissan cars Skylines and 240's so I figured another Nissan wouldn't hurt.

Congratulations on your purchase. As I started reading your thread I had a horrible feeling that when you said you liked to tinker I thought you were going to do the rebuild yourself. The more I read the more it became evident that that wasn't the case. Having a forum member around the corner from where you're having your engine built could prove to be really handy. Send in some photo's and I hope you enjoy your z when it's finally rebuilt.

Thanks, yea I would love to dive in and build it myself....but short of taking it apart that's about where my ability would end. Lol I would put it back together and have "spare" parts or something equally worse. It wouldn't be pretty.

On a side note is there away to know who is around your area?
