Default Excited New Owner of a 2004 350z being shipped to me now! A few questions

Hey everyone,

I grew up in AZ, and rebuilt a '78 CJ-7 with my dad through high school, but went to school in Boston and moved to the DC area now. My dad owned a 2004 350z throughout that time, but has since had back surgery and doesn't like driving the Z any more. Here comes the sweet part, him and I agreed to swap cars, so he can have a fun weekend car her doesn't have to squat into, and I get to have a reliable car out here!

Anyway, the short of it is that I am shipping the car to VA now. I've driven it before and loved it! That being said, it is a 10 year old car, so I'm looking into any improvements that can be made, etc!

Are there any major changes you guys made when you got yours? I've been looking into a Kenwood DDX470 to replace the stock (non-bose I believe) audio receiver. I'm not 100% certain on this, just something I'm considering as of now.

I did all the major fluid work when I was home for christmas, and the brakes are in good shape, so I'm covered on the maintainence I believe.

Any new Z owner that lists a audio mod as an area of first
importance does not get any interest from me.

Thanks for the warm welcome! As I said, I've been driving this car occationally for years, and my father wanted to keep it stock. One of the complaints I had was the lack of audio options while driving, and it's a very easy mod for me to do in my apartment parking garage -- I don't have a driveway to be doing any other major mods as of now. This is also why I was asking about any suggestions!

Happy driving, live and let live, no?

I've been reading through it now, really interesting stuff! I'm not looking to mod too much, I actually like the stock look quite a bit, but I'm sure i'll add a few things slowly but surely. Thanks!
