You should think about getting new wheels, can't stand the 17 inch stockers.

I can't see pictures at work, but I can guess what it looks like. If you have a base model, I would personally save/splurge on a legit differential. I didn't "use" my open diff for a long time after I owned the car(not big on burn outs too nervous to parking lot drift) so I found out on a hard right hand hairpin in the canyons. I went the cheap route(only way to do it if you do it this way) and got an OEM VLSD and dropped it in myself. I still have a diff and 4.08 gears on my wish list, but it will suit my needs for now.

Learn your car and decide where you want to go from there. My HR is STILL more than fast enough 4 years later.

Keep her shiny side up. Happy modding and welcome to the board.

Depends on what you want the car for. Quaife is a popular option for base models since they offer a drop in unit with no stub axel replacement muckin around. But, if a wheel comes off the ground it will act like an open diff. If you are tracking or drifting I would look into 1.5 ways first, and if you're dedicated drift(or it's your thang for track) I'd look at 2 ways. They make adjustable ones, but for me I would just get a 1.5 way and call it a day.....Once I hav ethe money to get that and gears........it shall be research time...Plenty of advice on here....

Good luck

Thanks for all the input NQZ, gotta do some reading now! At first the Quaife is the first on my mind, but I have some possible plans with my Z so I'll consider all my options
