Default A new 03 350Z owner has arrived!

Hello.

How are you?

I am not very good in typing letters or I think I am not, so how should I begin?

Let's see; I always wanted a 350Z since I saw them when I was 17. The diamond eyes and the sleek body made me weak. Viper, Countach, Supra, all really cool cars I wanted... But the 350's beauty was unparalleled. When one drives by me, it gives me the same effect when the beautiful girls walk by me and say hi back in my High School days. I knew I just had to have one!

10 years later, I got my 03 350Z back in August 13, a month after I totaled my Dodge Stratus R/T coupe. Bad weather + no ABS = Wreaking into the back of a Nissan Xterra at 45mph+.

Now I loved the Dodge, it was my first car and people tell me the first car you get, you fall in love with. This has to be true as I was devastated when I wrecked my Stratus, the first car I ever owned.

However, thank God for full coverage and a grand saved up to the side. Once I got the money from my insurance company and took my money from my saving's account I tried getting a Z....

IT WAS HARD!!!.... I found out the hard way that no credit history is worst then having bad credit. 350Zs were slipping between my fingers as I was denied one loan after another. I was on the verge of tears of not having my dream car. So angry at myself that if I was a little more careful I would not have lost my car.

But then I saw a dealer a small lot one those shady that seem like you can't trust unless you desperately need a car. And it has a 350Z. I am not exaggerating when I say this... it was becoming fall... and it was partly cloudy. When my eyes saw the Z the sunlight broke from the clouds onto the car lot like it was calling me. I am not exaggerating at all. Leaves blowing and sunlight, blue skies with thick clouds, like it was a holy scene. So I rode my bike into the dealer lot.

I explain to him my situation and how I would like the Z... I begged and begged and he said ok... He said put $600 down... and if I changed my mind or can't get the money the loan is asking for he takes half of the $600, but if he can't find a loan for me or he changes HIS mind I get my full $600.

He made a contract and I was so excited, if I could I would ***** my finger and sign that deal with my blood! Next week he calls me and tells me he finds a loan... but they need half down... with the money I saved and the money I got back from the insurance the amount I had was perfect. PERFECT!!

Nothing was more exhilarating than taking the keys from the dealer, shake is hand and driving off with my dream car.

Congratulations on the Z, and welcome. I see you are from St Louis. There is an active club in St Louis, the Gateway Z Club. www.gatewayzclub.com. There is also a facebook group St Louis Z Club.https://www.facebook.com/groups/stlzc/ Both are pretty cool groups and I belonged to both when I lived in Lake Saint Louis.

Congratulations on having your dream come true. There is a saying 'that good things come to those that wait' and it sounds as though this is true in your case. Welcome to the forum and i hope you enjoy many thousands of miles in the pilot seat of your Z.
