Hey guys, I've always come to this forum for help over the years, and so I've finally decided to join. I have 2007 with 54k miles on it. I traded my 03 with 100k miles for this one so Im moving on up. I do have a coupe questions about my Z and some noises its making.

First noise is the "notorious rattle" Im hearing a very loud rattle and low rpms, mostly in 1st and 2nd gear when driving. Once I get up to 3-4k rpm in disappears and is non existent in higher gears.

Second noise is, When Im at higher speeds, especially on the highway. Im hearing a loud humming noise which seems to be coming from the back. I think it may be something to do with my rear differntial, but not sure.

Finally, When Im just shifting into gear and tap the accelerator, I hear a loud thump noise. I think it may have something to do with the drive shaft. I greased the area where the drive shaft connects to the transmission but no change.

Any and all help is appreciated guys and I hope that I can contribute to this forum in time come.

change all the fluids, check rear diff bushing, rear wheel bearings
