So let me start by saying buying this Z has been by far the most stressful car purchase of my young short life so far. I found it on Craigslist, super good deal that should have been flag number one. Guy wanted it well below what the average asking price in my area is. So I go take a look at it, it's got the basic stuff done already (exhaust and intake) along with some other stuff that I'm pretty stoked about (one piece carbon fiber drive shaft, alleged forged internals. I'll find out how forged they really are once I tear into it, high flow fuel pump and injectors) but That's besides the point. Dude was moving to Utah and said he couldn't take the Z with him and was selling it. Needed my money to pay off the loan on it. That's strikes 2 and 3 that I should have said no. But me being young and childish I bit on it hard. About 2 weeks go by and I still haven't seen a title the guy ha text me from three different numbers 1 of which is an it of state number. I'm literally losing sleep over it at this point. Finally the day before he was supposed to leave I had enough and convinced the guy to go get a duplicate title and I had my title that I was stressing over. Moral of the story for some of you people that read this before you buy your Nissan, don't let your emotions overcome you. You might not be as lucky as I. He only bad thing about this Z is that it needs a dent taken out of the right fender and the front bumper needs sanded and painted. Plans for it are to start with the body work. Professionally done because I'm a potato and can't sand or paint to save my life. Followed by coilovers and rims and tires. I'm thinking 19x8.5 on the front and 19x10 on the rear. I really really really want to twin turbo it eventually but I kind of want to know if the internals are forged before I go nuts on that. Please feel free to point out my flaws on my logic because I've seen some of the posts on here and there's some brutal comments lol
congrats sir. if i remember correctly, all stock drivelines are carbon fiber, the G's have articulated steel (or is is aluminum). what exhaust and intake? how many miles, and what year.

It's got a BORLA catback on it and a K&N intake 2003 124k right now and it's snowing so I doubt I get to drive it between now and probably March

Reason: Forgot something
1. Pay the bank when buying a vehicle with a lien
2. I will put $500 on it that the internals are not forged
3. High flow fuel pump and injectors were just pulling your leg, knowing that the civic type kids would bite
4. Have fun with it
5. Just about all new owners say they want to twin turbo it
Omaha has a good Z crew. You should find them and learn from them. They get together every month, and they have access to a nice track outside of town.

Really? I had no idea I'll have to look into that!
Welcome and congrats on your choice to buy a z, they're one of the best sports cars for the money.

Yep. Z Cars of Nebraska (ZoNE) is a great group of guys. There is a lot of knowledge there to pull from. And, definitely, take in the Fast Friday events at RPM/MAM located in Glenwood Springs, IA. They have instructors available to help you get the most out of your car. http://www.zcarsofnebraska.com/home.htm
Look for Z Cars of Nebraska on Facebook. There is more activity there.
