Hi, new member and new owner 08 vq35hr.
I have thought about selling and getting a 370 but the 350 was a kid dream kinda thing. And now im well enough to build a cool drift car. And the salvage title is no big deal to me, I plan on giving this car to my nephew in about 4-5 years so I know ill I'll never get any money back out of it.

I think were all getting off on the wrong foot here, I really would just like some honest advice on what my platform is capable of. I have no defined goal as of yet. MicVic thanks for that driver course info, I did one when I purchased my motorcycle really glad I did. but i do believe you misunderstood my query. This is the 1st "sports car" I have owned, I bought the car on a whim and it is not my daily driver. My 10,000 dollar budget is just a limit as I tend to go overboard. I never said I want 450 ponies, I said im not interested in chasing anything past that down. Not sure if I want to boost it ether.
So, if you had between 10 and 15 grand and a base 350z with a southbend stage 3 clutch and a limited slip rear installed what would you do? I was considering the stillen supercharger kit and other support mods. But this is no way my world of knowledge. I do know diesels pretty well but thats it. I would definitely use this car to drift, I have 73 camaro that I drive in straight lines.

After that, come back, and push the car. Hills, track, parking lot, drift, rally, name your poison.
THEN figure out what you need.
That's all I can say. There is a defined, process oriented way of modifying and then there's the "other way".
Have a guy here in Orlando who has berk HFCs and an Gemini exhaust with a tune pushing 306 to the wheels on his 2008 GT HR. Same dyno same day other full bolton DEs were pushing 255-275 with a auto roadster stock doing 230. Full bolt on 370s hitting 310-330 WHP (just for comparison)
These HRs do NA 300 WHP very easily if you do it correctly.
From what I have seen on dyno days HRs don't like test pipes.
I have a buddy here in Orlando who had the Stillen setup, was a ***** to tune, made little power, super loud even with a recirculation setup. Belt slipping problems.. He switched to a FI twin setup.
Stillin products really should be stayed away from especially when its a rushed to market first gen kinnda thing.
