Considering a '05 35th
Hi guys, new to the forum, long-time lurker.
I'm considering the below '05 35th Anniversary Edition. I realize that with the A/T(i know, i know. Just tired of driving a M/T in traffic) it is not a Revup engine, I'm ok with that. The price seems "okay", if not a bit high? Any items I should consider or check on a 100k mile Z? Carfax looks decent, car looks clean overall.

Thanks!

The redline is right for A/T, but the M/T anniversary increased to 7000 (in case you find an advertised M/T).
The trim code (inside driver's door) should have "AE" as well.

If I'm not mistaken, in addition to bronze side "Z" emblems, the Anniversary models also had a plaque on the console.

Hmm. The VIN Decoder on the site says it *IS* a 35th Anniversary... https://my350z.com/forum/vindecoder....AZ34E15M654896
That could be where the dealership pulled the "35th Anniversary" from.
So I had the dealer send me some pics. It's got the Bronze Emblems, "35th" floor mats, but the Trim code is "G". Sooo...previous owner made a replica?

If it were me, I'd take a very close look
Perhaps a Grand Touring rep?
25 or 35th floor mats?

I can't find any references via google to a legit chart about "AE" being a model/trim level code? Also, there's seems to be some conflicting information on wether or not there should be a plaque for USA models, and if AE is actually a trim code used in the USA production models.http://www.zcar.com/forum/14-*******...th-ae-s-2.html
The only confirmation of AE trim is from dcains linked response, where he said Nissan USA told him over the phone. If everything else feels right, it very well could be legit.
I'm checking with Nissan as well. At the end of the day I actually don't *care" if it's a 35th, I just don't want to pay any premium if it's not.
