Relatively new to the Z scene, picked up my 06 enthusiast 5AT with only 60k on it a couple months ago. Just hoping to get some insight on common problems and what I can suspect going forward.

 

Since you have a 06 you missed a lot of the issues with earlier models. I would say really look out for the window motors and hatch struts going out.

 

Door handle - especially interior - failures. The handle remains fine but the handles (in and out) are attached to the open/close mechanisms with nylon pieces that break. There's no replacement for these tiny nylon pieces; only other entire assemblies. Not horribly expensive (< $100 generally) and easy to fix.

Just keep the car in good, fresh fluids and you'll see long life (like most cars).

 

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your purchase. You should have the updated version where the interior had a better design although the coating on the some of the interior plastics was notorious for being easily scratched.
As MicVelo mentions, don't cheap out on fluids and replace regularly and you should be OK.
