Default My new "used" 2004 350z

Hey all, I attempted to post this a couple of hours ago but I think I got it wrong so I am doing it again I just hope it doesn't come out twice, LOL.

So here is my new 350z, I think I got it for a good price.
$5,995.00 with a 100k miles on it. The previous owner went with an upgraded dual exhaust, carbon fiber on the car as well as added lower control arms and upgraded struts. I like the under the car items, feels like I can turn on a dime lol.
Though it needs a little TLC which I plan on bothering all you guys for lol, I am very happy with the ride.

Hey, how's things, I actually did that on friday, though I didn't do the flush brake and coolant change, will do that this week, thanks.
It's an automatic transmission, wanted stick but being that my wife doesn't know or even want to learn how to drive it I realize I will live an easier life if I comply lol..

Hi, I was looking at something like this http://www.protuninglab.com/03ni35nomodu2.html
I like the demon eyed blue look, though I wonder in NY is that blue even legal. I was thinking about changing the front r reflectors to, in the same color pattern DRL's.. then again my taste has always been over the top lol..
I have to change the headlights anyway because it has that foggy look on the inside, I tried some sort of headlight cleaner but it did not work. What do you think?

I really like those, I will definitely move on them. Would you recommend some sort of DRL to go along with those head lights? I would like to replace those two reflectors in the front.

I got the clear turns up front, LEDs from Diode Dynamics ( a vendor on here), wired them into parking switch. Nice mod for under $75.
Don't have a good snap on this PC, but you get the idea-

Please do not do this. What travlee said, get those DEPO or the OEM 2006+ headlights ones.

jhc, dang those for $75? Here I am going to pull the trigger for some OEM clear reflectors marker for $80.

Look in the red bar under Vendor Directory. I told Nick what I wanted and they had a kit for it. They even have switch-backs that turn amber when turn signal is on, then back to white.

If you don't count the 1st set I melted lol. IIRC the clears were $60 from Z1, LEDs were mb $40 from Diode Dynamics. Better pick-

Hold on to your hats folks..... Nico's gonna blow a gasket when he sees the OEM prices!

Not sure where you're looking but Depo Bi-Xenons (complete or shells) can be had for a lot less:

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from...light&_sacat=0

I shopped around here and classifieds. I ended up with a mixed pair.... one OE (for $100! like new) and a Depo Bi-Xenon for about $225. Built 'em with uprated internals. For under 5 bills, have some superbright, like new lights. Once installed and adjusted, they won't even be obnoxious! I'm hoping. Laff...

I like the idea of switch-back that turn amber when turn signal is on, then back to white. I will go with that. What Is the difference between IIRC & LED?

My bad. I bought one set of clears and actually put them in the wife's "Toaster" oven, 3 minutes @ 350F. When I came back to check they were clear melted bananas ftl.

IIRC="If I Recall Correctly".
I never did a thred bc there's several here already. Get your turn/reflectors and bake in a full-size oven 5 minutes, 350 degrees. That will destabilize the glue holding the inner and outer halves. Let cool a few then use a putty or table knife on the vertical seams to pry apart. Use only Clear silicone with tiny Harbor Freight clamps when you lay the LEDs (light emitting diodes). Put the leds where you want them and clamp overnight. You will need to drill a 4 mm hole at the top of each inner shell to run wires. When dry, reassemble the inner and outer halves with clear silicone and clamp gently overnight, and seal the hole you drilled with silcone. Actually in hind-sight you could cut out a very small V shape for the wires to pass through.

If you use SuperGlue it will fog the inside of the clear turns. (Ask me how I know).

If you like this look, get the clears and if you need help, happy to walk you through it!
Good luck my friend!
