Default 2JZGTE Engine Swap

Before you read. I'm new on this forum and I'm not allowed to create a thread in a different forum except New Owners So Im hoping maybe moderators will move this for me? I've never been on a online community like this so Im not sure how things work.

I've researched this question all around google. Yes, Ifound many answers. However, the answers I found were for Manual Transmissions andnot Automatic Transmissions. My 350Z is 2006 Automatic Roadster with 31,xxx milesin case anyone wondered.
I want to know what parts is needed to complete a 2JZGTEengine swap into a 350Z. I know I have to upgrade suspension and ect. That isalready in my shopping cart for ready to be ordered. My father is a mechanic, has been for about 39 years, and has his own shop. He has just never done anengine swap. The only problem we have is we don’t know what is needed tocomplete it. If we have all the parts, we could figure it out together.
As of right now Ineed a
-Plug and Play
- Mounting kit (but there are different stages. So Imconfused on this part)
And that’s all Im 100% sure of that I need. I’ve calledanother shop and got a quote for $6,500 with them providing the engine as wellas doing the swap. But my father really wants to do this with me as a fatherand son thing. Any one knowledgeable in this area?

Not very many has done this. This thread has some information: https://my350z.com/forum/media-share...-2jz-swap.html

I'd double-check to see AT/MT are the exact same size so you can expect to make for clearance if need be. Otherwise, I don't know what to tell you.

Yes thank you so much for the help. I realized all I need is the Harness, Motor mount, Intercooler, and a tune. Since there's a mounting kit it shouldnt be as difficult. Thanks for the input!

If you are doing it, please feel free to share us the progress on how it's going. I'm sure down the line, someone will want to do the same swap for big numbers.
