Default Driver door sensor? Missing features.

Hello, i just got an 03 touring model fully stock that i'm loving a lot. There's many problem related to the driver side door tho and i think it's related to one sensor but i can't find any thread about it because i don't know the name... here's the problems (all driver side):

window doesnt roll down/up when opening/closing door.
no beeping sound when opening door with the key in the ignition.
no beeping sound when the headlights are ON when opening the door.
no dash light of an open door when the door is open. (If the passanger side door opens, then we see a dash light)

Please help! Those problems are really annoying me!! GRRR

Symptoms point to a fault in the BCM (body control module) and/or CAN (controller area network).

Pull DTCs using the all-important OBD scanner. I would bet money, you'll find some sort of code will be set for the BCM indicating fault in the unit or it has lost comm's with the main ECM.

Once you find the code, look it up in a Nissan specific OBD code interpreter to get closer to the actual problem then go from there.

Good call. Tell whoever is reading the codes what the suspicions are. If they know what they're doing, they will be using a scanner that can read BCM faults, not just "everyday", generic codes which anyone can do with a $20 scanner.

If they don't have the specific NISSAN code interpretation, they SHOULD be able to look it up in AllData (or other) database. If they can't do that, walk away and find someone who knows what they're doing.

Can ya tell I have a favorable bias towards "real" shops?

Welp. The 3 shops i called so far asked for $50 just for a scan... Wtf! LOL
I had an idea yesterday that i will try and see if that works. I thought about replacing the passenger door sensor to the driver door and see if that works.

nothing is free.... they had to pay for the machine to diagnose it, but you want them to just hook it up and do it?

This isn't an OBD fault. If you check the Service Manual you will find there are no BCM DTCs

The window seals itself,
the chime is on when is headlight is on,
the chime is on when the door is open with the key in the ignition.

OK, I'll buy that. Just offering up basic troubleshooting.

I stand by my scanners.
