Hey guys, I purchased my 2006 350z 6 days ago. I'm very eager to be apart of this community as I've been stalking it for about a year now . Im 19 years old, this is already my 5th car ( all cars were lemons and lasted 7 months tops from problems). I've been saving for a 350z for about 9months walking an hour and a half to work, so I am very thankful for this car. Its pretty much my greatest accomplishment. Even though I've barely had it for a week, I painted a the center console black and the silver shift **** holder dark green . Well I feel like I'm rambling now, but thanks for reading. Looking forward of being apart of my new family. Edit: 71k miles, $10k cash, touring? Idk
Oh I painted these silver guage trims too
Nice. Congrats on saving up for it yourself, too. At 19, that IS an accomplishment. You've got yourself a reliable vehicle here. Take care of it, follow the routine maintenance intervals, and it will take care of you.
Here... It works. I kinda' had the same problem with mine, only it was dried super glue and contact cement.

+1 on the mothers kit. I did mine a year or so ago with a different product and they hazed back over. Bought the mothers kit and touched them up on my z and they look better than when I did them last year. Also did the headlights on my daily driver which were in bad shape. They were hazed and yellowed and look new now. Just make sure you get some masking tape and mask the area around your headlights. You don't want to sand off your topcoat or worse.
Oh yeah, congrats on your car. Any reason you went with automatic?

Not to thread-jack, but I used the Meguiars heavy duty kit on my 03 Enthusiast, but the headlights were aftermarket and hazed worse, does OEM vs aftermarket make a diff? Can these kits be used for tailights? The previous owner of my new 04 plasti-dipped the taillights and i got most of it off with Goo-Gone, but the surface is still tacky, Im thinking this would not only smooth out the surface but bring out any imperfections in the taillights?
You should be fine with polishing after market lights. For the tl residue I would grab some acetone and a clean rag, turn the rag often.
Yeah, I don't know, I did the clear turn signals in the rear, and they came out great, however when I moved to my headlight, it just made it worse, so i tried again, and worse still...

as a 19 y/o, if in any case a friend or my GF has to drive my car. Or if im too drunk and **** up shifting (albeit, I shouldn't be driving). Long story short, I live in Houston, I'm young, and I just want to minimize any chance of ****ing this car up lol. And thanks man!
