just bouaght my first 350z. Super excited. I’ve been wanting one since I was 18 now I’m 30 and I finally got one.Never had a sports car before. I wanna do a couple of mods like intake and exhaust but my wife scared the check engine light will come on and I’ll mess up the car. Any advice on modding is it safe? Also I noticed that the car looks like it has a subwoofer but I don’t really hear any bass when I’m playing music. It’s the stock radio and sub so I’m assuming it shouldnt have a lot of bass anyway. Still love the car

Welcome and congrats on the purchase of your Z. Have you put your hand over the grill of the sub woofer to see if its moving air? A fair few of the Bose amps for the sub woofer are prone to failure, you'll find all that you need to know if you do a search. There is an easy fix whereby you stuff a piece of cardboard over the part of which i can't remember the name after taking the lid off the amp. Make sure the cardboard sits on top of the largest component in the amp and then screw the top back on. This fixed mine for a while but after a couple of months i bought a second hand amp from a breakers and its still working fine 4 years later.
