Welcome to the forum. There's nothing like a motor rebuild to familiarise with a newly purchased car. Good Luck with it.

An RX8 with no issues and a Z that goes *** up in a week, that's a tale that is usually told the other way round lol.
There are a mass of very knowledgeable owners on this site and will do all they can to help. The one proviso is that you make sure you do a little work your end first, use the search facility. You obviously know an open ended spanner from a socket and have ability so you should fit in just fine. I hope the build goes OK.

It is and it isn't depending on questions/comments. Personally, I find this forum a wealth of information and very helpful as long as you do your due diligence in searching first as opposed to asking for handouts.

Welcome! - what part of NC?

but this is my 1st Z and i'm very pleased with the purchase and the overall experience of shape...seating position...handling and how really easy this car is to work on.
i had the engine out in 3-4 hours..and plan on replacing with new Nissan parts for ensuring reliability. Because i drive my project cars hard and like to drift take the twisties and NY-FL runs very often . And to all the Z family thanks for your time and patience plus support with the newborn...

Default Guess what ????

As i was playing with the vq35de...i rotated the flywheel and kept hearing a noise in the number 5 cylinder and come to find out its the bearing!!! I can easily move the cap with my fingers...lol heres some before and after shots, so please pay attention to the 1st picture and one after it. Theres a tab mark and the bearing is close to the end of it. And the next picture will show the tab almost 3/4 of the rod cap!.
enjoy! Roll that beautiful bean footage!

Yikes, that's bad. Welcome to the forum and good luck with the rebuild. I'm sure after you're done, it will run better than ever.

As for the items that you're posting for sale, you should start new threads in the classifieds section. Be sure to comply with the forum rules regarding the classifieds. Place a verification slip next to or on top of the item for sale and take the pic before posting the item for sale. We love the Z fam, so we like to make sure people don't get scammed.

Thanks!
