Default A pillar small chip. Advise?

First off I'd like to wish everyone well being during these dark times.

I just purchased an 06 touring with 135k for $3000. I was aware of this small chip on the A pillar. I did some research and was shocked to see them over $500. Yikes. So I was hoping to get some advise as to whether it's repairable or fubar. I mean I can live with it but I'd like to fix it if possible. Any ideas on how to tackle something like this?

Yeah I figured screw it lol if I get lucky to find. Used one in my color (k23) I'll snag it.

You would have to make a form out of some substrate to get the filler to stay in place, some sanding, priming and painting. If no previous body filler experience I'd day get a used one from salvage yard.

I'm actually doing bodywork right now. I'm not a pro but I'm savvy enough. I thought of that too. Was hoping for different opinions/ideas.

If that's the case go for it! You'll need-
Masking tape
Bondo and something to mix on
Sandpaper
Dr Color/DupliColor primer, top coat and clear rattle cans
Good light
1" putty/mixing knife
newspaper/craft paper for masking
You may need something inside the lower curve to hold the filler in, or wait a little longer until it's more firm.
GL and post up your "after" pictures!

Sounds very possible. I will do some brainstorming.
