Should I buy
I'm the sales manager for a car dealership here in S.C. It's a seller's market right now, but I can tell you my 2007 HR with 160k miles is only worth about $11k retail. I'll also tell you that buying any supercharged/turbo car from anyone, including a dealership, is a huge gamble. None of the mods add value for resale. No way I'd do it. Just get as much info as you can, and test drive it. Then make your decision. Best of luck.
This isn’t an average car, it’s modified, you know, the entire point of the car hobby? I’m not sure why you guys are so hard on this car and the price, if you’ve modded cars in your time (I have), you know doing mods is very expensive, so if the car is what he wants, it’s the perfect price, end of story.

So, why "bag" on a car with mods trying to get money back? Like I said, I wasn't ever saying the car was outright bad for any reason at all. But there are unknowns in the equation that would keep most away from it: Quality of parts, who assembled it, who tuned it, who drove it, who maintained it? And, since it was ostensibly "built for speed", there's an assumed "abuse factor" on the car, whether or not it was/wasn't. Because of these unknowns, people are more likely to stay away (or at least that's the theory) and the demand for the car drops and so does its value.
Is there someone who will drop the full load of cash? Of course there is. PT Barnum said it best. But the OP asked if he should buy the car and the overwhelming OPINION was laughable at the asking price. But people DID suggest what to do if he were still interested (despite the butthurt) including, "get it checked and offer $xxx".
It's all a matter of opinion and perspective (duh). That's clear here. Most who said anything said the same thing: "Too expensive EVEN for what it is." You and the OP felt people were judgemental (and they/we were), but that's why the OP polled the thread. He can't take the criticism, well, don't ask loaded questions.
@Heel Til I Die - Salmon is tastier than Tuna, juss saying.

[Audible groan]
Well, I tried to set a good example in the thread and it failed.
But not entirely, my efforts can now be used as a bad example.
